This is your solution to fine lines and wrinkles without the need for surgery.
All injections for anti-wrinkle treatments are prescription only medications. The medicine is injected into the facial muscles with the effect of temporarily minimising the appearance of moderate-to-severe wrinkles.
The injection contains an enzyme called acetylcholine which works to block the presynaptic nerve endings. The result is that it blocks the nerve that triggers specific muscles to move. You will see that your wrinkles from repeated and involuntary facial movements are minimised, giving you a clearer and smoother appearance.
As these are prescription only medications, you will require a consultation with a qualified nurse prescriber prior to the treatment actually being completed. This consultation will be face to face with myself and the prescriber and will give you the opportunity to discuss your requirements and provide appropriate medical history details.
Treatment Type: Injection
Treatment Areas:
Downtime for you: Minimal
You will be advised not to lie face down and not to rub the area injected for a few hours after treatment.
Results Last: 3 to 6 months
Everybody is different and that's no different with muscles. The minimum results will last for 3 months, however, could last up to 6 months.
Results Seen: 3 to 14 days
The results will be gradual over this period and the full effect will be seen after 14 days.
Consultation Time: 15 to 30 minutes
Treatment Time: 30 minutes (maximum)
Discomfort: Mild
The needles I use are very thin and therefore you will hardly feel them. You may experience a slight pinch or sting as the needle is inserted, but this will resolve very quickly. Post treatment, you may experience a 'fuzzy' head or headache. This is usually very minimal (lasting no more than 24 hours) and can be helped by paracetamol if needed.

Facial ageing occurs due to a reduction in our fat pads, loss of bone support and decreased production of collagen and elastin. Hyaluronic Acid dermal Fillers help support collagen and elastin, restoring lost fat volume and mimics bone support. You can achieve a more youthful appearance by replacing lost volume and enhancing the volume in different areas of your face.
Every one of us is unique and I am skilled at assessing and understanding your needs to help you achieve the outcome you want. At Goodchild Aesthetics I use fillers that naturally integrates with your skin, creating balanced facial rejuvenation and smooth transitions between treated and untreated areas, allowing for natural looking results. You will get a natural, balanced result without losing your individuality.
Treatment Type: Injection
A small needle is used to inject the filler just under the skin, or deeper, depending on the area being treated.
Treatment Areas:
Downtime for you: Minimal
You will be advised not to rub the area for 6 hours after your treatment. Immediately after the treatment, you can expect to have some swelling of the area which should resolve in 1-2 days. Some bruising around the area may also occur, however this should resolve in a few days to a week post treatment. I recommend using ice packs on the treated areas and taking painkillers, such as paracetamol if needed. No dedicated recovery time is needed but you should avoid direct sun, sauna visits and intensive sport sessions for 24 hours. Avoid cosmeceutical products (AHAs, retinols, vitamin C) and oil-based makeup for 24 hours. I recommend you avoid alcohol for 24 hours before and after the treatment, because this can increase bruising.
Results Last: 6 to 18 months
The hyaluronic acid is slowly broken down by your body and therefore the results typically last between 6 and 18 months. This length of time is impacted by lifestyle factors such as smoking and exercise (if you have a high metabolic rate, the filler may metabolise quicker). The results are not permanent, and you can book in for further treatment as required.
Results Seen: Immediately
The filler immediately plumps up the layers of the skin being treated and therefore you will be able to see the results immediately. During the treatment, I will check with you throughout and will tailor the amount of filler to achieve the perfect result for you.
Consultation Time: 30 minutes
You will be asked to complete a medical consent form and I will complete a full facial assessment. The consultation is your opportunity to discuss your needs and ask any questions. If the treatment is suitable for you, I will book in the treatment time for you.
Treatment Time: 45 to 60 minutes
You will have a numbing cream applied to your face (on the areas being treated) for 30 minutes. After this time, the cream will be removed, and I will commence your treatment. The filler is injected slowly into the area being treated and I will check on your comfort levels throughout. You will be able to check the results in the mirror frequently, so you get the result you want.
Discomfort: Mild
To help reduce any discomfort you may feel, I apply a numbing cream to the areas being treated for 30 minutes prior to the treatment. The dermal fillers I use, also contain a local anaesthetic to make sure any discomfort you feel is kept to an absolute minimum.
Safety:
You can be assured that the fillers have been fully researched, shown to be well tolerated in the skin and have an excellent safety profile. I only use fillers from a reputable pharmacy that have been FDA approved (Food and Drug Administration) and CE approved (conform to the European health, safety and environmental protection standards for products sold within Europe). This treatment is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women.

As we get older, we can lose some shape and fullness to our lips. Dermal fillers are a nonsurgical cosmetic procedure that are used to give or restore this shape and volume. I use a filler that contains Hyaluronic Acid and is specifically designed for your lips.
I don't provide a price per ml because it is important that the amount you have, is individual to you and I will therefore assess this with you during the consultation and provide you with a treatment plan and price.

I will stop frequently for you to look in the mirror and inject only the amount you need to ensure you get the results you want.
After the treatment, I will apply a cream to help with any potential discomfort and swelling.
Aftercare:
You will be able to contact me at any time if you have any questions post-treatment. The common risks associated with dermal fillers is bruising and swelling. You can manage this by following the below guidance:
Manage any bruising or swelling:
It is quite common to have some swelling after treatment (24 to 48 hours) and this can be easily helped by using ice on the area, massaging the skin if instructed to do so, or avoiding exercise and extreme heat (like saunas / steam rooms or direct sunlight) for 7 days. If you are prone to bruising, you would also benefit from avoiding alcohol for a few days (alcohol causes blood vessel dilation).
Very uncommon risks are an allergic reaction and blockage of the blood vessel; I have been fully trained to deal with any of these complications.
Be Prepared:
If you are having the treatment for a specific event, it is advisable to book your appointment at least a couple of weeks before, so that any swelling can subside.
Know the warning signs:
Report any signs of infection or allergic reaction to me immediately. This could include (but is not exhaustive):
